The American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) is a large species of flamingo closely related to the Greater Flamingo and Chilean Flamingo. It has also been known as the Caribbean Flamingo, but the species' presence in the Galápagos makes that name problematic. It is the only flamingo which naturally inhabits North America.

The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation is a charitable organizations in the Bahamas.  This privately funded charity raises funds primarily through donations and from the Annual Heart Ball, held each February. The funds raised go to help children diagnosed with heart conditions who would not be able to undergo care without this help.
