Foka obraczkowana (Ringed Seal)
Phoca hispida
Mammals of the Baltic Sea 1.95
- - -
The ringed seal (Pusa hispida), also known as the jar seal, is an earless seal inhabiting the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions. It is a relatively small seal, rarely greater than 1.5 m in length, with a distinctive patterning of dark spots surrounded by light grey rings, which is where it gets its name from.
